Thanks mate for the "warm" Welcome.  A worm is a little insect...XD Just joking with ya mate...(^.^)
Anyways about my playing style well it is very simple realy. I have played several of these game including Ogame and Space Invasion(Which i still play) and in both times i use the same tactic. I concetrate mostly on building up my mines and research heavily. Tho i do build freigthers so i can fleetsave to another planet. But because i dont have a second planet yet thats a little problem. When my mines reach a sertain lvl that they produce a hugh amount of resourses per day. I start focusing heavily on building a large fleet consiting out of battleships and such. Anyways thats about it in the matter of my playing style. Hopefully i have informed you guys enough, ifnot feel free to ask.

Great stuff  You caught my drift all right I'm not even going to pretend I was just checking if you'd notice 
Your playing style is very much like mine, the basic difference is that I have been colonising planets from the beginning - on top of multiplying you production outputs it allows you to send your saveflights to your own planets. Oh, if you decide to start colonising I would advise you place them away from the original sector you're in - firstly because of the saveflights and secondly because it will make it more difficult to attack or farm you. And it will give you a better view of the gala. Did I sound exciting? Or smart, at least?

About your last sentence non of the above...XD(joking) Anyways i know how to play this game its similair to Ogame and Space Invasion. Altho the galaxy map is a bit weird if you ask me. I find a bit confusing to be honest... And about colonising planets from the beginning i do that to mate. I am researching towards as we speak. When i do i always colonize several systems away from my main planet. Most of the times i do colonize 1 planet in the same system. And the rest atleast 5 systems mostly more away.

Good stuff Funny that if you're by the border you can actually see what's at the very opposite end, isn't it? And you can also travel there... Well, I guess it makes the game more dynamic
Good luck with that and keep in mind the trick I'd found out about the other day - send your colonists to positions 10-12 (i.e. 50:50:11), that way the planets will spawn with at least 169 fields.
I found it difficult to come across any good websites about Space Pioneers, most of our knowledge comes from experience... And talking to admins ingame
